When UV rays from sun penetrate deep into the skin, these rays actually damage the DNA in skin’s cells. This damage causes the cells to break down over time, causing the top layer of skin to thin and wrinkle and increased pigmentation resulting in dark spots or discoloration. In the worst cases, these dysfunctional cells can become cancerous. Tips to Reverse the Damage

Topical retinoid come in cream, gel, and liquid forms, it normalize the damage cells by preventing dead cells from clogging pores while increase blood flow to the skin. The use of a retinoid along with topical antibiotic or benzyl peroxide may serve better.
