Don’t sweat the small stuff
Dr. White may use ice or a local anesthetic to numb the area before injecting the skin. This will assist in the relief of any pain or discomfort. Botox is then injected into the skin in very small amounts. In most cases, they inject it in a grid pattern, with injection sites spaced one to two cm apart.
After treatment, you can go home right away. While you may experience discomfort, slight swelling, and redness at the injection site, these adverse effects typically fade within minutes or hours. You should refrain from exercising and refrain from taking hot baths or showers for the remainder of the day. Dr. White may recommend a follow-up appointment one to two weeks after the surgery. This is to check for adverse effects and touch up any places that were missed. There may be a need to have regular appointments to touch up areas to achieve maximum results.
