We are getting better at loving our bodies, but that doesn’t always mean we love everything about our bodies. Cellulite affects over 90% of women and around 10% of men. But just because it is common doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it. Miami cellulite treatment at ARC Plastic Surgery utilizes three different techniques to help relieve the dimples that congregate around our midsection, butt, and thighs.
Septae, or collagen bands, tie the skin to the muscle, causing cellulite. The septae tighten the skin to the muscle between the pockets of fat, causing the fat to seem ringed in divots, or dimples, when fat is deposited between the skin and the muscle. ARC Plastic Surgery strives to deliver the best cellulite treatment Miami has to offer. We tackle cellulite through three different procedures based on what will work best for your body. Customizing your treatment will leave you with the best possible results to get cellulite off your butt. The three services offered are:
Qwo is the first FDA-approved treatment for cellulite. The fibrous septae pull the skin downward, resulting in the typical dimpling seen in cellulite sufferers. Qwo severs septae fibers keeping your skin indented, redistributes fat cells, and stimulates new collagen growth. The results of Qwo last up to a year, but in most cases, much longer, ensuring a long-lasting tightening of the skin to give you a smooth, firm appearance and increased confidence.
Morpheus8 is a non-surgical, non-invasive skin resurfacing that combines microneedling and radiofrequency to promote collagen production and shrink pore sizes, enhancing the appearance of the skin. Microneedling and radiofrequency energy combine to reduce traces of aging and damage from your skin, giving you a tighter, more youthful appearance.
Although they are very different compounds, Sculptra and Radiesse are both biostimulants that increase collagen formation, improve skin texture, and firm the skin around the injection site. They reduce the appearance of reasonably severe cellulite. Radiesse fills in hollow spots right away, and the microspheres help the body produce new collagen over time. Radiesse might last one to two years, depending on the individual. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid that causes less immediate collagen buildup, but provides a framework in which your body can build collagen in the area of concern and smoothen divots over time. These fillers are particularly useful to reduce wrinkles that are related to volume loss or skin laxity or in conjunction with other cellulite treatment techniques.
While cellulite is all too common in all body types and is harmless, it is also unsightly and unwanted, especially as you get older. Cellulite can make you avoid wearing leggings. It can leave you spending too much money on wraps during swimsuit season or avoiding swimsuits altogether. By utilizing any combination of the three procedures offered by ARC Plastic Surgery, our Miami cellulite treatment patients will be walking with confidence, knowing that their problem areas will be tighter, plump, and look much younger.
Are you unhappy with the cellulite around your hips, thighs, butt, or abdomen? Have you tried losing weight, all of the creams and massages, and they haven’t worked? If you answered yes, then you’re a good candidate for cellulite treatment. As long as you are in good health, cellulite treatment can be a simple solution to increase your self-esteem, give you confidence in a bathing suit, and have you strutting around your house feeling good about what you see.
Qwo, Morpheus8, and Hyperdilute Radiesse / Sculptra are all non-invasive, non-surgical procedures. Cellulite treatment will take place in the doctor's office. Dr. White will meticulously identify the areas that require treatment before the procedure. This will be done both standing and lying down to ensure that your outcomes are as natural as possible from every perspective. The skin is cooled with ice to ensure minimal bruising and maximum comfort throughout the treatment. Your procedure will depend on what combination of these three you and Dr. White agree on.
Cellulite treatment is achieved through a series of injections. The dimple is injected three times in three different directions, which helps dissolve the fibrous bands that produce cellulite. Some dimples may require more than one injection, with patients receiving up to 12 injections each treatment session per buttock. Three treatments are administered three weeks apart. We recommend a compression garment after the procedure to reduce bruising and swelling, which is inevitable but manageable and typically decreases after each treatment.
The Morpheus8 Body radiofrequency instrument is more powerful than other radio frequency gadgets because it sends energy in brief bursts rather than continuously. This allows the surgeon to delve deeper into the skin to target the fibrous septae, which aids in cellulite removal. There are 40 thin gold-coated microneedles on the handpiece. This means that a substantially bigger surface area may be treated in a single session. The needles pulse in and out of the skin, emitting bursts of energy at three distinct depths beneath the epidermis, heating the skin just enough to stimulate collagen while avoiding overheating.
Radiesse is a phosphate and calcium-based gel. Each patient's filler is prepared by Dr. White utilizing a patented dilution procedure suited to the patient's skin type and specific body location. This formula delivers the best possible procedure comfort and cosmetic outcomes.
You will have minimal downtime after cellulite treatment, if any at all. After your procedure, there may be bruising and swelling at the injection sites depending on what you have done. These typically go away in about 14 days. Any pain associated with the procedure is easily managed with over-the-counter medications.
Results will vary depending on the procedures you and Dr. White decide on. Each of these procedures will take time to see the maximum results. At your consultation, Dr. White will discuss your results timeline and what it will look like for you.
