Sculpted, Hydrated, Restored

Juvederm | ARC Plastic Surgery | Miami, FL

You’re checking your reflection before a night out or catching a glimpse of your profile in a FaceTime call and noticing things look just a bit… flat. Maybe those late nights at work are starting to show up as shadows, or you’ve realized your favorite lip tint doesn't sit quite the same way it used to. It is a common realization, especially when the South Florida sun and a fast-paced lifestyle are part of your daily mix.

At ARC Plastic Surgery, we see many people who love their look but want to bring back a little of that natural bounce. Most of the time, the goal is a subtle recalibration, adding a bit of structure here or a touch of hydration there to keep everything looking balanced. Dr. Jeremy White views these enhancements as a way to help your face keep up with your energy, ensuring you feel like the most refreshed version of yourself every time you head out the door.

Fixing Lines And Volume Loss

What Conditions Does Juvederm Treat?

The Juvederm family gives us several ways to help your skin look smoother. During your visit, I pick the right version of the gel to fix the specific spots where your face has lost its natural bounce over time.

  • Sunken Cheeks: We add lift to the middle of the face and help fix drooping.
  • Smile Lines: We smooth the deep folds that go from your nose to the corners of your mouth.
  • Lines Around the Mouth: We use thinner gels to fix small vertical lines on the lips.
  • Jawline and Chin: Thicker gels help make the jawline look more shaped and balanced.
  • Thin Lips: We add moisture and fullness to lips that have thinned out.

Choosing The Right Filler

Types of Juvederm

Juvederm is a popular group of fillers made to help with many common concerns, like deep wrinkles or faces that have lost their "plump" look. It is an FDA-approved treatment that uses hyaluronic acid. Each version of the gel is unique, some are thicker for lifting and others are thinner for smoothing. This allows us to pick the right one for your specific facial features.

Juvederm Voluma XC

This is the thickest gel in the family. We use it for adding volume to the cheeks and midface. It sits deep near the bone to help fix age-related volume loss and give the face a more lifted, youthful shape. It is a great choice for cheekbone definition without surgery.

Juvederm XC and Juvederm Vollure XC

These fillers are made specifically to treat severe facial wrinkles and folds. We often use them for nasolabial folds (the lines from your nose to your mouth) and marionette lines (the lines that pull the corners of the mouth down). They are flexible, so they move naturally when you smile or talk.

Juvederm Ultra XC

If you want plump lips, this is often the best pick. It is designed for lip augmentation and adding a visible boost in size. It works well for patients who have noticed their lips getting thinner over time and want to restore that soft, full look.

Juvederm Volbella XC

This is the thinnest, most delicate gel. We use it for very subtle lip augmentation or to smooth out perioral lines, which are the tiny lip lines around the mouth. It adds a lot of hydration and skin smoothness without making the area look overdone.

Juvederm Volux XC

This is one of the newer cosmetic treatments in the collection. It is very firm and is used specifically for jawline definition. It helps create a stronger, more chiseled look along the jaw and chin, which helps create facial balance.

Why Patients Choose This Treatment

Benefits of Juvederm

At our practice in Miami Juvederm uses hyaluronic acid to help your skin stay hydrated from the inside. Since your body already makes this substance, the HA fillers blend in easily with your natural tissues.

  • Results You Can See: You will notice a change right after the injection.
  • Better Hydration: The filler pulls moisture into the skin to give it a healthy look.
  • Trusted and Tested: Juvederm is proven to work safely on many areas like the cheeks and lips.
  • Easy to Reverse: If you change your mind, we can use a special medicine to dissolve the filler safely.
  • Long-Lasting: Depending on which one we use, your results can last from one to two years.

A Look at Your Options

Comparing Injectables

Sometimes we use different products together to get the best result. We choose the best tool for your skin based on what each one does best:

Product What is it? Best For How long it lasts
Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid Volume and hydration 12–24 Months
Radiesse Calcium beads Shape and jawlines 12–15 Months
Belotero Hyaluronic Acid Very fine lines 6–12 Months
Sculptra Collagen builder Over-all face fullness 2+ Years
Botox Muscle relaxer Smoothing frown lines 3–4 Months

Who is a Good Fit?

Am I a Candidate for Juvederm?

Juvederm is a great choice for healthy adults who want to fix lines or add volume back to their face. During our meeting, I will check your medical history to make sure filler is the right path for you. We typically wait to treat patients who have an active skin infection, a cold sore, or a rash near the injection sites. It is also important to share if you have a history of bad allergies, specifically to lidocaine, or if you have a history of excessive scarring.

We do not use filler on patients who are pregnant or nursing. Additionally, if your primary concern is very loose or sagging skin, a surgical brow lift or facelift might be a better answer than filler. Juvederm is very safe, and most side effects like temporary redness, swelling, or minor bruising stay right where the shot was given and go away in a few days.

Getting Ready for Your Visit

Consultation and Preparation

A good result starts with a plan. During the consultation for Juvederm Miami aesthetic expert, Dr. Jeremy White, look at your face to see exactly where you need more support so we can fix the cause of the wrinkles. We perform a total facial mapping to see how your facial features work together, ensuring the results look balanced from every angle.

To help prevent bruising and swelling, we ask that you avoid aspirin and ibuprofen like Advil or Motrin for one week before your dermal filler injections. You should also skip fish oil and Vitamin E during this time. To keep your blood supply stable, please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before you come in.

How the Treatment Works

The Juvederm Procedure

Dr. Jeremy White does every Juvederm injection himself to make sure everything is perfect. In many spots, he uses a tiny, blunt tube called a cannula instead of a needle. This helps prevent big bruises and keeps the treatment safer.

During the visit, he places the gel at the right depth for your face. For the cheeks, he goes deeper to give more lift. For small lines, he stays closer to the surface. The gel has a numbing medicine in it called lidocaine, which helps make the process more comfortable.

After Your Treatment

Juvederm Recovery and Longevity

There isn't much downtime with Juvederm. You might feel a little spicy pinch at the injection sites or see some redness. I suggest sleeping with your head elevated the first night to help with swelling.

Try not to do heavy lifting or get too hot (like in a sauna) for the first day or two. This helps the filler stay in the right place. You will see a change right away, but the final look shows up after about two weeks. Most patients find their results last 12 to 24 months.

Understanding the Cost

Cost of Juvederm

The cost of Juvederm depends on how much gel we use, how many areas we treat, and which type of Juvederm you need. We offer easy payment plans through Cherry, CareCredit, Alphaeon, Advance Care, and United Medical Credit, to help make the treatment fit your budget.
