ARC Plastic Surgery offers a broad range of rejuvenating procedures to address each patient’s specific concerns without overtreating. While a full facelift offers unparalleled rejuvenating abilities for all areas of the face, many patients can benefit from a less involved mini-facelift. Miami, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale patients can achieve stunning and seamlessly natural mini-facelift results with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jeremy White at ARC Plastic Surgery. During your consultation with Dr. White, he will thoroughly assess your concerns to help you create your optimally designed personalized treatment plan. Ultimately, you can look forward to results that are younger-looking and reflect you as an individual.
A mini-facelift is a minimally invasive surgical procedure designed to lift and tighten skin and facial tissues to restore youthfully defined contours from the mid to lower face. Restore and reposition facial volume, firm skin, and smooth wrinkles in your cheeks, nasolabial folds, jawline, and neck for a younger and even slimmer appearance. Compared to a traditional or full facelift, it involves smaller incisions and shorter downtime.
A mini-facelift offers a variety of uses, ranging from the cosmetic to the practical. A mini-facelift provides an excellent alternative for patients whose concerns do yet require a full facelift to resolve or those who would like to minimize downtime after their procedure. Benefits of a mini-facelift include:
Suppose you have moderate signs of aging in your face's mid and lower regions and would like a less involved alternative to a full facelift. In that case, you are likely an excellent candidate for a mini-facelift. You should be in good general health and not smoke, with no conditions that may affect your body’s ability to heal. It is essential that you have realistic expectations and follow all instructions to ensure optimal results for any procedure.
Your mini-facelift will most likely be performed under general anesthesia and you will be given certain medications to minimize your swelling and bruising so that you can have a speedy recovery. It will involve incisions along the front crease of your ears, extending from the hairline to the earlobe and then behind the ear.
From this point, Dr. White will lift tissues and tighten skin to create a lifted, youthful effect in your mid-face, jawline, and neck. He will also raise your malar fat pads (the fat that gives your cheeks fullness) to correct the lowering with age. He will close your incisions meticulously before preparing you for your at-home recovery. You can expect your mini-facelift procedure to take approximately three hours to complete. As you will be under sedation, you will need to arrange for someone close to you to drive you home after your procedure.
While recovery following a mini-facelift is less than that associated with a full facelift, it is still imperative that you allow yourself ample time to heal. Following your procedure, you will experience some minor swelling, bruising, and soreness. These will mostly subside within the first week. However, you may have some residual swelling for a month or more. Over-the-counter pain medications are usually sufficient for a comfortable recovery, but you will receive prescription medications for the first few days.
You will notice a significant improvement in your face’s youthful appearance, with results that can last six to ten years. You can maximize the longevity of your results with regular at-home skincare and other treatments.
