What Is a Blepharoplasty?
When you tell people you are considering a blepharoplasty, they may just stare at you with a confusing look. Many people aren’t familiar with the technical term for an eyelid lift. Many people seek a blepharoplasty if they would like to improve wrinkled or sagging eyelids. After a blepharoplasty, you can dramatically return a youthful look to your eyes. ARC Plastic Surgery are happy to discuss with you all your options when it comes to blepharoplasty.
Do You Need a Blepharoplasty?
- Sagging skin on the top or bottom eyelid
- Fatty deposits that create a “puffy” look
- Large bags under the eyes
- Drooping eyelids that impact vision
- Excess skin located around the eyes
If you are suffering from any of the above, you may benefit greatly from a blepharoplasty. You will be impressed with the fast results you can receive. Ask your surgeon at ARC Plastic Surgery if a blepharoplasty is right for you.
What Is the Procedure Like?
When you have had your consultation with your plastic surgeon, and they believe you are a good candidate, you will then schedule a date for your procedure. You will first have medication to sedate you during the procedure. The plastic surgeon will then cut the area above or below your eye and remove excess skin or fatty deposits. The surgeon will then close the incisions and send you home. As the swelling lessens over the next few weeks, you will see the full effect of your surgery.
