Juvederm Voluma XC is a nonsurgical facial filler using hyaluronic acid, a compound derived from a complex sugar that is naturally present in the human body. Like other hyaluronic acid injection, Voluma can be shaped and molded after the injection to perfect the contours of the face, and it has the ability to be reversed if needed. And like other nonsurgical facelift procedures, there is virtually no recovery time. Some patients may experience swelling and bruising, but that’s it!
Voluma XC is injected deeper in the tissue, below the blood vessels, so many people have significantly less bruising than traditional, shallower, facial fillers. Voluma can be shape contour the face in way that other facial fillers do not. It can literally lift the face, creating a naturally youthful look and a facelift that’s anatomically correct. Its thicker cross-linked formula adds volume in a way that restores a more youthful contour to the cheek (or a more pleasing Ogee curve if you speak medical-ese).
