Hair loss is a biological reality. For many people, it can’t help but change how they feel when they look in the mirror. It isn’t just about the hair itself; it is about how the light hits your scalp and how your hairline frames your face. Dr. Jeremy White fixes this using his experience as a double board-certified plastic surgeon and biomedical engineer. At ARC Plastic Surgery, hair restoration is a precise surgical discipline, not a high-speed commodity. By combining manual follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation with regenerative medical protocols, Dr. White’s specialized clinical team rebuilds hair density that looks authentic and ages naturally.
A hair transplant procedure is the surgical movement of hair follicles from a donor area, usually the back or sides of the head, to balding areas. These follicles retain their genetic resistance to hair loss even after being moved, allowing permanent results that last a lifetime.
At ARC Plastic Surgery, we use two main hair transplant methods.
With follicular unit extraction (FUE), individual hair follicles are taken one by one with a tiny micro-punch tool. This minimally invasive procedure doesn’t leave a linear scar, making it the best hair transplant choice if you like to wear your hair short.
The other option is follicular unit transplantation (FUT, or the "strip method"), in which a thin strip of scalp is harvested from the donor site and divided into individual follicular units under a microscope. While this involves a linear incision, it’s often the best way to move a large amount of hair in one day.
We don’t just move hair; we make sure the scalp is healthy enough to support it. Unlike clinics that focus on speed, we use platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and growth factors during the hair transplant process. This protocol uses your own blood’s healing properties to soak the transplanted hair follicles. This helps the grafts survive and stimulates hair growth in the recipient area.
We figure out if this is right for you during an initial consultation. Dr. White will look at your medical history and how your androgenic alopecia is progressing. Ideal candidates are men and women who have enough hair in their donor area and realistic goals for new hair growth. Most patients with scalp infections or those just starting to see thinning hair might try non-surgical treatments first to save their existing hair. As skilled surgeons, we care about the long game; we won't suggest a hair transplant unless we know it will look good as you get older.
The entire process happens in our private Aventura office. We use local anesthesia to keep you comfortable while Dr. White’s team perform the FUE hair transplant procedure by hand. We don’t use robots. A robot can’t feel the texture of your hair or see the tiny changes in how individual hair follicles grow. For people who need to get back to work quickly, we offer no-shave FUE, which lets us do the transplant without shaving your existing hair.
Most patients find that recovering from FUE hair transplants is easy and minimally invasive. In the first week, you’ll see some redness and tiny crusts where the hair was placed, but these usually go away in about seven days. By day five, most people feel "restaurant ready" as any swelling disappears. To get the optimal outcomes, we’ll give you simple instructions, like avoiding the gym or heavy lifting for 10 days to protect the transplanted follicles.
You have to be patient to see natural-looking results. In the first month, the transplanted hair will actually fall out—this is a normal part of the process called "shock loss." The follicles are still healthy under the skin. You’ll start to see fine new hair around three or four months. By six to nine months, your hair density will look much better, and you’ll see the full result of your new hairline about a year after the procedure.
A hair transplant isn't a one-size-fits-all price. At ARC Plastic Surgery, pricing reflects the customization required for your anatomy and how complex your hairline restoration is. The cost depends on how many grafts you need to cover bald patches and if you choose the no-shave FUE option. We offer financing through Cherry Financing, Alphaeon Credit, Advance Care, Care Credit, and United Medical Credit to help make this investment easier.
When you come to ARC, you aren't just paying a technician to move hair around; you are getting the leadership and oversight of a double board-certified specialist. Dr. Jeremy White’s engineering background and surgical training help him make sure his clinical team approach hair restoration with technical precision. We are a boutique practice, which means we don't rush through surgeries. Your hair transplant is our only focus on the day of your procedure.

Natural results come from making the hairline slightly irregular. We don't use perfectly straight lines; instead, we place single hair follicles in a staggered pattern at the front of the new hairline so it looks like real growth.
Robots don't have an artistic eye and often struggle with different hair types. Dr. White does everything by hand to make sure every graft is handled perfectly for optimal outcomes.
Both are advanced techniques. Follicular unit extraction is great if you want to avoid a linear scar, while the strip method might be better if you need to move a lot of hair to improve hair density in one session.
We use local anesthesia, so once you are numb, you won't feel a thing. Most of our patients just relax and watch movies during the day.
Yes. Female pattern hair loss is common, and we often use hair transplantation to fill in a widening part or a high forehead.
Yes. Because the transplanted follicles come from a part of the head that is resistant to thinning, they are programmed to keep growing for life.
