The choice of brow lift techniques depends entirely on your unique facial anatomy and hairline height. I do a personalized assessment to determine the most effective surgical path.
This is a common request for many of my patients. During an endoscopic brow lift, I make small incisions hidden within the hair. I insert an endoscopic lift tool, a thin tube with a camera, to release and shift the underlying tissues. This endoscopic brow technique is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that emphasizes internal structural repair with minimal scarring.
A temporal brow lift is an excellent option for patients whose primary concern is the outer tail of the brow. It utilizes incisions hidden in the temples to provide a lateral sweep, opening the gaze and contributing to a more youthful appearance.
A traditional forehead lift or a coronal brow lift may be necessary for patients with significant excess skin or specific hairline requirements. The incision can be hidden at or behind the existing hairline, depending on forehead height. These surgical brow lift methods allow for the removal of more substantial excess tissue and greatly reduce horizontal forehead lines.
A brow lift combined with eyelid surgery is a common hybrid approach. This addresses the structural descent of the brow area while simultaneously removing delicate excess skin from the eyelids for a comprehensive rejuvenation.
Who Needs Brow Surgery
A good candidate for a brow lift is someone who feels their upper face no longer reflects their internal vitality. This cosmetic surgery is appropriate for those with sagging eyebrows or a physically heavy brow that contributes to a tired appearance. Sometimes we will discuss brow repositioning as an adjunct to facelift surgery if there are signs that your forehead muscles are working extra hard, even though they are currently able to manage the weight.
During your consultation, I examine your medical history, including conditions like high blood pressure, and the relationship between your brow and your orbital rim. Many of our patients have already tried a Botox brow lift and are ready for a more permanent, structural solution to their vertical creases and forehead furrows.
After Your Procedure
We perform the brow lift procedure in the operating room using general anesthesia to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Brow lift recovery requires patience as the tissues settle. You will experience a tight or heavy sensation across the forehead for the first 48 hours. I will prescribe pain medication and anti-inflammatories to manage any initial discomfort. To reduce swelling, you must keep your head elevated and use cold compresses religiously for the first three days. Most patients are socially presentable for activities in Miami or Fort Lauderdale within 10 days, though you should avoid heavy lifting for at least two weeks.

Place your hands above your eyebrows and gently lift them. If the excess skin on your eyelids disappears, a brow lift is likely the primary need. If a fold of skin remains on your lashes, you may need an upper blepharoplasty as well.
